By: Tony

Who?
It was mainly between the Americans and the British, now known as the United Kingdom.
What?
Americans got the independence that they were wanting from the british, but they also had a very large dept to the people that have helped them like the soldiers and other countries. Some soldiers were never paid for the Help.
When?
War officially started April 19, 1775.
Where?
In the American Colonies.
Why?
It was ignited by the British government trying to take control of the Colonies by passing laws. It also started by the the Rebellion in resistance the the laws and taxes.
How?
Americans were not prepared for the war that broke out because of the lack of government, a navy, and an army. George washington was appointed the military officer. British, although much more powerful, had to ship all supplies and troops over. Although they won many battles, they were almost pointless and they did not gain much. After the Amercan win at Saratoga, the French became involved and gave supplies and money much needed to win. The British made the Treaty of Paris.
