Some would try the alternatives to war, but if none of those worked we would have gone to war, but others would have gone straight to war and to declare their independence. |

to go straight to war was when they did the stamp act and taxed
everything. Another major point was the people who waited to fight in the war was because they thought that it would be peaceful first and that would have saved lives and it would be less expensive. |

Half agreed that we go straight to war. The other half thought that we should wait and try the alternatives. |

peace treaties, so there wouldn't be any lives at risks . Send letters to the British goverment asking them to lower taxes. Go back to britian and forget about being free. Refuse the taxes, because maybe the British would just leave the colonists alone and go back to Britain. Some chose an alternative to war because it would save money and lives . And they like the idea of making peace not war. The others thought it would be a better idea to go straight to war because they thought they would defeat the British and they wouldn't do what we asked. |
