The stamp act was passed by the British Parliament to raise funds for the army they had stationed in the American colonies.

The colonist didn't want the British there so they refused the stamp act, and fought against having to pay taxes on every printed paper.

The sons of liberty led the rebellion of the stamp act.

The sons of liberty were a secret group.

The slogan on the rebellion was no taxation without representation

The Virginia House of Burgesses stated that Virginians shouldnt pay any taxes except those voted in by the

Virginia House of Burgesses.

Anyone who supported the Parliaments right to tax was considered an enemy of the colony.

The House of Burgesses got rid of most of Henry's resolutions, though four of Henrys resolutions were adopted.

Virginia Governor Fauquier did not like the resolutions, and he dissolved the House of Burgesses in reply to them.
